The HI93707-03 are high quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate colorimetric measurements. The method is an adaptation of the Diazotization method, adapted from EPA method 354.1. The reaction between nitrite and the reagent causes a pink tint in the sample. By simply adding the reagent to the sample, a reaction will take place and a compatible benchtop or portable meter can be used to determine the concentration from the color that is produced. The results will be displayed in mg/L (ppm) of nitrite. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that are within the expected range of the meter being used. Ranges available include 0.000 to 0.600 mg/L nitrite with the portable photometer (HI96707) and 0.00 to 1.15 mg/L nitrite with our compatible benchtop photometers.
